Bement CUSD #5 will be conducting an evacuation/relocation drill on Wednesday, April 16 at 8:30 AM. During the drill, an announcement will be made over the intercom to evacuate the building and relocate to the Lions Club.
Students and staff will exit the school and walk together to the Lions Club. Once there, teachers will take attendance, and then everyone will return to the school building. We anticipate that students will be back in class by approximately 9:00 AM. We will have assistance from the Piatt County Sheriff's Office, Piatt County EMA, and Kirby Ambulance to provide safe crossing of Rt. 105 to the Lions Club building.
Please note that students will be dismissed at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16 for a School Improvement Planning day for staff. There is no school Thursday, April 17-Monday, April 21.
